Chard

Chard

Bright Lights

A multi-coloured, highly attractive swiss chard, containing a formula mix of hybrid and synthetic hybrid types. A very novel vegetable variety.

Bright Yellow

Bright yellow petioles and veins in leaves add colour to salads as a baby leaf. Larger leaves can also be used from mature plants.

Intense

Vigorous variety with a more rounded leaf than Elite. Selected by our breeders for an intense red vein and to have fewer green 'off types' than standard varieties.

Perpetual Spinach

Our own maintenance of this favourite for spring or July sowing. Attractive mid green, spear shaped leaves. Stands well without bolting.

Rhubarb Chard

Magnificent red petioles, mid rib and veins add colour to salads as a baby leaf.

Elite

The leaves are more rugose than standard Rhubarb Chard and more uniform in leaf colour. This variety also has far fewer green 'off-types' and a greater standing ability.

Fantasia Orange

Bright orange petioles which contrast well with the vibrant green leaf. Particularly impressive as part of a mixed leaf salad.

Fordhook Giant

A classic swiss chard with large white midribs and dark green leaves with flavour. For spring and summer sowing.
