Tozer Seeds America - Field Day 2011
anted to give a brief report from our first, very successful, Tozer Seeds America Field Day. For our first attempt we had a great turnout, +/- 67 people in attendance representing 17 companies from 5 countries. The weather was perfect and the event went off without a hitch. We had several plantings of each species in order to have the right maturity to show. Overall we had 32 lettuces, 14 arugula, 11 specialty kales, 6 purple sprouting broccoli, 4 F1 celery, 2 curly kale, 3 chard, 4 radish, 5 coriander, 5 oriental types, 21 squash and 2 beets. A bit of a growing challenge for sure! Overall the event showed a snippet of what Tozer Seeds is currently working on. We did not show many of the warm season crops due to the location of our trial.
