Since Tozer's unique discovery of male sterility in wild celery, we have been able to breed hybrid varieties. Initial breeding was for the UK but we have more recently expanded to meet the demands of international markets.
Over the past 20 years the diversity of leaf vegetables available to growers has increased dramatically. Our breeders have kept pace with this explosion, our lettuce varieties are now grown throughout the world.
